Blog Session 8: My favorite subject

Heaving entered the university this year has meant form me the discovery of a new world from which to learn. All the subjects have been very enriching and I find very difficult choose my prefer favorite. For that reason I would prefer to highlight the benefits of each one of the subjects that I liked the most. The first semester was been very introductory except for Anthropology. The professor was very funny (although demanding). On this subject I knew nothing, but the cultural relativism and the ethnography are very important knowledge. In the second semester, Epistemology with Opazo (one of my favorite teachers) has taught to reflect on what we will do and not just repeat actions without being aware of why we do it. In addition, the fantastic text of Schütz is very important personal discovery to be able to name a recurrent thought: living on automatic pilot (in the happen of living, for the author). In the third place Classical Sociological Theory teaches me about the import...

Blog Session 7: My favorite Food

All children   like spaghetti, I think I’m still a child. Nobody prepares the spaghetti better than my mom, obviously. If it depends of me the lunch of the month will consist in a plate of Italian pasta, whatever its form, boiled in water. I would also accompany it with a delicious mushrooms sauce. I must admit that in the past I liked meat, but I have not eaten in a long time. Now my mom does not cook the sauce for me either… ¡but no problem! I make myself a sauce with tomato in squares, carrot, soy meat, condiments and tomato sauce. That is to say, a very tasty and cruelty-free dish. Sometimes I also like to eat them with pesto sauce. Bring walnut, olive oil and more vegetables. One time I cooked this to my brothers while I looked after them. Now they always ask me to cook the same because it was the best meal of their life, according to them… they do not know that I bought the sauce in the supermarket D:

Blog Session 6: Memes Sociological-politics page

Hello, today i will talk about the Memes Sociological-politics page.   This Facebook page is administered by a group of sociologists of Latin America close to the anarchist, decolonial and antidevelopment thinking. The fun of this page is that to transmit their point of view they use the visual resource of the meme, accompanied by recommended books in the comments with the purpose to deep study about the topic. This method move closer the world to the academic study at the same time that give laugh. On the other hand makes sociology a fun science to learn. I found the page for the first time at school when several pages that I followed shared their publications. The page can be found at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/memesdesociologiaypolitica/ Next I will make a ranking of the best memes of the page (in my opinion): 2.- This meme is accompanied by authors that I like very much. Among them Clastres, Scott and Taibo. 1.- We all k...

Blog Session 4: My favorite movie

Imagen
I love the cinema. Kubrick, Tarkovsky and von Trier are my favorites directors, but recently I'm discovered a fantastic movie. Its name is "A Man in a Dream", or in French "A homme qui dort". Is an a movie based on the novel of the same name of Georges Perec, who also co-directed the movie with Bernard Queysanne, premiered in 1974. The film narrates the interior travel of a student of sociology with depression. Poetically describes his loneliness and his divagates while losing the time in his room or walk, in the night, the streets of Paris. The protagonist is interpreted by Jacques Spiesser and the voice in off by Ludmila Mikaël. Also this film wined the distinguished Jean Vigo Prize of Best Movie in 1974. I loved because the writer of the work was a sociologist who triumphed with his novels. I recommend this movie to any student of sociology.

Hi, today I will talk to you about my favorite piece of technology: the computer. I remember my first computer, I was 8 years old and was playing with a CD that had more than 400 different games. The computer was large and white, my parents had given it to me for my birthday. As of today I use the computer how cinema, music player, writer machine and library, because are completely free and have all the information of the world. I really use the computer every day for these reasons. In fact, I use it more than I should, Facebook consume a lot of my time ;-;  Without the computer the life would be very difficult: we could not do the essays! Also ¿without the computers, the cell phones of today would exist? I don't think so.
